With a really heavy heart I waved farewell to Snowdonia. I was sad coz I couldn't even do the trek or get on the tram to the peak of Snowdon. I didn't have time as Niamh, my friend from Cork, was waiting to catch up with me in Bristol. I was tempted to tell N that i'll see her the following morning so I could do the 6-hour trek to Snowdon but of course I couldn't do that to her! ?She did fly from Ireland just to see me! So waved goodbye to Snowdon I did and hit the long lonely road to Bristol by mid-morning.

I was very wary and drove with care through the narrow roads of Anglesey and Snowdonia but as soon as I hit the motorway, I was in my element! I was scratching my head though as to what the speed limit was on the motorway. A lot of the cars where driving at 80-90 mph and I couldn't find any speed limit signs 'cept when approaching the exits. ?So I decided to do as the Romans do but with fingers crossed that I don't get booked! I definitely cannot afford a speeding fine at this time. Why not slow down you ask? Well.... uhm..... geez but that never occurred to me at the time! :))

So for the next 4 days i'll be enjoying the sights and smell of Bristol, Bath and Salisbury with a good friend, a good break from doing it solo. I'm happy to be spending the following 4 days with N, just like old times when we used to go on road trips in Oz, but part of me still want to go back and climb Snowdon. :(. Makes me consider going back after my Stonehenge trip on the 27th. We'll see.

I couldn't get a decent shot of Snowdon as it was covered in clouds. I actually had to ask one of the locals which peak was Snowdon! So this is the mountain range opposite Snowdon. Maybe i'll get to snap her on my return. I've heard the 2nd time was more likely to be lucky. :)

I dedicate this blip to Euphemia Legaspi, lived a full 93 years, would have turned 94 come 24/09/12. May you rest in peace Lola Pining. We'll miss you. xxx
