Another busy day

Another extremely busy day on the farm for us, with 11 calves being born overnight and during today. This picture shows some of those calves being moved with their mum's from the calving mob to a paddock with more grass.

Most mothers stay with their calves and walk along the trailer keeping an eye where their calf is, however, today we only had 1 cow stay - all the others took off up the alley way (you can see some of these in the photo), but did come looking for their calves when we let them out of the trailer.

After milking tonight, Farmerboy had to calve another cow - another breach calf, but luckily still alive.

It's been a long day, with not much time to sit down and have a rest - but hopefully we will be able to do that tonight when the All Blacks play the Wallabies in Auckland.
