S has overcome illnesses, chronic migraines, illness in other family members needing her to provide support, and finally she has also overcome a computer which it appears arbitrarily changed what she had written, or the formats she had chosen, so that changes disappeared. Or at least some of them did. With my soothing and the nous of J, she was able to finalise her thesis for the Masters in Creative Writing and will hand it in on Monday. This is one of the three copies she has to submit. Stars were added for the photo shoot.

Although I did not read all the poems (a pleasure which still awaits), I did read all else she wrote, as I was the proof reader of her exegesis. It is very impressive. In particular, not only is her thesis a sort of memoir, she links poetry and self portraits (both the classical type and the modern selfie; the former available to only a few, the latter published rapidly and widely) as being memoirs. And of course memoirs tell a truth, not necessarily the facts.

I will enjoy a more leisurely read of this.

I am including as an extra, a photo of a Pink Bike tied to a lamp post on Ponsonby Road, taken when I was on a run this morning. Feeling my lack of fitness. And relishing that, despite the need to walk quite frequently, I was still running at the end.
