Life is like a river

Another mountain climbed

Our week in the cottage, day 7

We woke up a bit earlier than usual today and started packing, cleaning and tidying up after we'd finished breakfast. Left the cottage around noon and drove to Reykjavík.

When we were entering the area my brother Björn lives in, called Grafarholt, I decided to go climb mountain Úlfarsfell (highest peak is 295 meters). My brother has climbed this mountain many times a week for the last 18 months and enjoyed being outdoors along with shedding 40+ kilos of excessive bodyweight. Well done bro!

Kári joined me and we had a lovely time walking and exploring the area - and of course taking photographs of the great view! This one is straight out of the camera and the beautiful blue colours are just magical.
Mountain Esja to the right, 914 meters high. Maybe I'll climb this one next? ;)

In the afternoon and evening I enjoyed being in the company of my brothers and sisters-in-law and their families. What an excellent week we've had! :)
