self portrait with guitar and a bit of boat!

been a bit of an up and down week and haven't really had the weather or the inclination to head out and take some real photos. on the one hand daughter #2 landed an amazing new job, on the other my sister-in-law in the US who has terminal cancer has decided not to undergo any treatment, just enjoy what time she has left, if that is possible.

we have bits of boat and guitars all over the house so this could be considered as another in a series since I took this one. this is an orginal part of the boat, the coach roof hatch, that has been getting lovingly sanded and varnished to its former glory. I noticed the reflection of the guitar that is hanging on the wall of the study, where the varnishing/paste table is set up, but couldn't get a good shot without getting my reflection in the guitar.
