What a Pile Up

Actually they were not in a pile but growing like this halfway up a tree.

First thing this morning was really grey and overcast so I didn't really fancy a walk when hubby suggested it but I allowed myself to be persuaded.....and I'm so glad I did.
We went up to the local woods and the sun appeared as we arrived and shone the whole time we were there.......it was really mild too, in fact I got so hot that I stripped off two layers and enjoyed the sun on my arms for a while as we walked around the edge of the field by the wood ( see second extra.......I was really struck by how green everything looked ). What with the warmth, buds showing on the trees and the catkins coming out ( see first extra) you could be forgiven for thinking it was Spring :-))
It only lasted a couple of hours though and we definitely chose the best time to go out as by the time we got home and had lunch the thick grey clouds  and cold temperatures were back again .........it was nice while it lasted  :-)
