Phase One Imperfection, Aylesford

It's Sunday so it must be another long run. Today we ran from The Friars (see previous blips) to a new village being built on the banks of the Medway - it's called, rather boringly, Peters Village. A new swooping, twisting, undulating road has been built to connect it to the original road network from one end and a new bridge from the other. It's a strange experience to run through a village as it's being built - there are only a very few completed buildings but there is already a long, curved esplanade overlooking a rather bleakly beautiful bend in the river. On the way back we passed a very isolated church and then followed a road we had never been on before. Luckily, it joined up with a route we knew from one of our previous running routes so we made it back to the car!
Today's shot is from a small cul-de-sac on a new housing estate built very close to where I live. The houses are part of the finished Phase One and I liked the breaking of the toytown perfection where someone had smashed into one of the street lights. Phase Two is already spreading it's tentacles.
