Bridging the gap , though not as far as it used to. These steel spans were acquired in the 1970's when the railway bridge over the nearby A7 was dismantled . There are a few spread round the farm bridging ditches and burns.
The Borders railway has now reopened and the original steel bridge has been replaced by a far uglier concrete construction .
