Roaring good day....

Today's start was officially 'lazy'. I don't think my ass got out of bed til after 7am. Wowzers! And god it was lovely to be so sleepy and relaxed! After a scrumptious breakfast of 'Omelette a la Paul', with black tea to boot, we did odds and sods before heading out by taxi to a new venue. The old Rana palace, a large royal family palace in the centreof Kathmandu, has been turned into a maze of little boutiques, restauarants and galleries. This little statue was sitting pretty in a courtyard...amongst blue skies, beautiful trees and tranquility. That sort of place is not normally our cup of tea, a bit ex-pat for our liking, but on a day like today it was lovely to mooch about, take photos, eat wonderul food and chill.

Rather than take a taxi we walked the hour-long journey home, enjoying sights that you normally miss by car. A lazy early evening, reading online newspapers and books, was bliss. Then we headed out to the restaurant we were at last Friday...fabulous food (and way too much of it!), lovely wine and more relaxation. And we walked home without getting wet....last night we walked in monsoon rains and got absolutely soaked!!!!!

And now, time for bed. I am soo very sleepy. And I really don't want tomorrow to come. I am destined for London Heathrow...but I will be back at the end of December!!
