Peek-a-boo

It’s been an anxious day for Doug & I and other close mates.  
One of our “besties” has been in Dunedin Hospital since last Thursday awaiting lifesaving heart surgery. He was down there before Christmas but his condition was not good enough for surgery and was sent home. Today was the day, but even up to the 11th hour it was still unsure if it would go ahead.  Got a text from his wife at 12.30 pm to say they had just taken him to theatre, her reaction was “phew”, my reply was “thank god”.

Not being able to settle to anything constructive I went out early to find something tiny for the challenge and found this little one, about 5mm in length, thinking it is Green Vegetable Bug (Nezara viridua) .....I had some fun with him, but I'm not sure he felt the same way. 

I’ve been watching the ASB Men’s Tennis this afternoon while waiting for news and the text has just come through from his wife that it went better than expected but will be two or more hours before they can see him, what a huge relief.
