Swift Tern(Sterna bergii)

Swift Tern, also called the Greater Crested Tern, is a common breeding resident and an abundant passage migrant and winter visitor to Oman. This bird is in winter plumage and see extra for size against a Sandwich Tern- you could say the extra is a swift sandwich. It's a big bird, but I like the way it's not adverse to hanging out with its smaller cousins! This one was standing on a rock and with the fast shutter speed the little droplets of water, from the sea splashing against his rock have been captured.
