Indian Roller

This gorgeous, secretive bird was just waking from a sleep, which is why I was able to get quite close. They usually fly off the moment a camera lens is trained onto them(actually even looking at them, makes them move) The colours on this bird in the sunshine are just incredible. This really is a very beautiful Indian Roller. They get the 'Roller' part of their name because they like to roll and tumble high up in the sky, performing aerial acrobatics is where you can see their turquoise and royal blue wing feathers.
