Festival-ready

There are numerous village shows and festivals this weekend and they got off to their traditional start with grey skies followed by heavy rain. I remember the Malham show last year I think with horizontal rain and howling winds. My sister and niece from the Canary Islands were none too impressed!
Anyway, all the day held for me was a meet up with a best mate, a long chat and numerous cups of tea. For others in the household tho' the picture was different. The youngsters were equipped with wellies and shorts, the slightly older chaperone with ear plugs, overtrousers and kagoule. They headed off into the drizzle for a day of festival 'fun'!
