Mike

AKA my second dad when I was a kid and my running coach from the age of 11 to 21. He gave me, and so many others, so much of his time, wisdom and patience. I owe him such a lot for igniting my passion for running which is just as strong today as it was then.
He's not in good health these days and it was an emotional meeting between us today. My husband, kids and Dad visited him and his wife at their home where we were made to feel so welcome. I'd told my kids all about Mike beforehand and they were brilliant when we were there. It's difficult for Mike to talk much but I know that he was pleased that we'd visited and I look forward to visiting again.
