Extra Rations

We didn't get much snow, but it was bitterly cold this morning, so the birds got extra rations. It didn't last long. The sparrows and starlings formed a disorderly queue, blue tits and robins sneaked in, and blackbirds of all shapes, tones and sizes awaited the right moment to approach the feeders.
