Cloud formation

We headed to Blenheim this morning to do a few jobs.  On the way home we came across some very unusual cloud formations.  This photo was taken leaving Blenheim, and the one in my extras was taken at the Owen.  Loved the way the cloud looked like waves in the sea.

Since the November earthquake, all traffic is now required to travel through our town, and via the Waiau Valley to get to Blenheim, or Picton if they are going to catch the ferry to the North Island.  We came across a lot of road works where they were upgrading the road to stand the extra traffic.  It's amazing how much damage one earthquake can do.....and how much it must be costing to not only rebuild the damage towns, but also to upgrade other alternative roads.  Lets hope NZ has seen the last of earthquakes - we've had our fair share over the past 5 or 6 years.
