Otaio Bay

We have had four visitors from the UK staying with us over Christmas and two were leaving this afternoon. We set off relatively early in the boat for some of the islands we have not yet visited.
On the way saw some of the whale watching boats idling and went over. We saw a pod of about ten dolphins and about four/five of them swam to less than 2 metres from the boat. Great excitement all round. We went on and beached at Otaio Bay, Urupukapuka island and spent some time here swimming and chilling out. There were about eight other people on the beach and no pleasure boats.
