Date palm

I didn't even know dates grew on palms until today, and even when I'd spotted them, Mark tried to convince me they weren't dates. I'm not sure what make him feel so strongly that they weren't! They most certainly are dates though, I looked it up as soon as we got home - it's funny because I love dates, but had just never considered how they grew before. This tree was right on the beach, and I would have taken a photo from a little further away, so you could see the whole tree, but there were loads of parked cars right next to it, along with a great big "no parking" sign. This is Cyprus!
