Put a Bird On it!

The term "put a bird on it" became famous (at least in the USA) after the TV show "Portlandia" did a satirical sketch about avian motifs as part of a trend in hipster art. 

In the extra, a Stellar Jay takes a drink from the heated bird bath. When I looked at the photo, I thought of that old Coca-Cola marketing slogan, "The pause that refreshes". 

Freezing rain is predicted for the region, and college will be closed tomorrow as a precaution. We are experiencing an inversion, so for us it was another day of bitter cold weather.
