Low Tide at Marahau

The weather, after the clearing of some morning cloud, has been brilliant in Kaiteriteri today. We spent a few hours at Breaker Bay, a brief walk over a hill from the main beach. The water was cold for swimming... nevertheless Emily was in and out of the sea. She loves the water.
This evening I drove to Marahau to photograph the late evening light on the extensive tidal flats... a magical time in a magical place.
