Before we left for home after a two night break we took the little ferry boat from Balmaha on Loch Lomond to one of my favourite islands, Inchcailloch which is a Nature Reserve.  Unfortunately the extensive view of the mountains to the north were obscured by the mist and cloud which had prevented our plans to climb but we still had views of the islands which are scattered in the wide southern part of the loch. This is the view over the lichen covered trees looking north towards the far distance where yesterday’s photo was taken.
