New WI

Having left one WI group in December (evening meetings making it difficult to get to), I joined a local daytime WI in Bracknell today. What a lovely group of ladies, who made me feel very welcome. Their speaker was unable to attend today (the wife of the late John Nike Mrs Nike) so an impromptu session arranged consisting of a couple of games of bingo (didn't win, wanted one number) and a quiz on cakes. Here are a few for you to try:
1. A difficult swimming stroke;
2. Heated and angry;
3. Scottish city delight;
4. Perhaps a cup of cocoa for this young girl guide;
5. Not as hard as it sounds;
6. European somersaults;
7. Heavenly messenger on several levels.

Popped in to see mum after a spot of shopping - she was being fed in bed, as she has a temperature and the GP has prescribed some anti-biotics. Fortunately she is drinking well.

Back home for lunch (14:30 by this time!), no time to get on with any projects so watched episodes 5-8 of series one, The Missing - wow what a great programme, looking forward to watching series 2 now. :)
