A postcard from ..........

Wild elephants!  Wonderful.

Was photographing a bird when my guide tapped my arm and pointed behind me ...... there they were only yards away - no crop on this photo.

Their behaviour was very interesting ..... the elly far right stood with one foot raised watching us ... then very, very, very slowly moved left .... within a few minutes the tiny baby was hidden and it appeared there were only three elephants ..... the guide explained that possibly this family had had a baby taken and they now protect their young - strangely, it was hardly noticeable until it had happened and the baby was out of sight.    It was like the baby did not exist and without this photo I could have thought I imagined it.

What a fabulous day ......................
