The Big Smoke

Mr H and I have been to London. We went to meet Mr H's nephew and partner who are off to pastures new shortly.

What an exciting day, we've had train journeys, the underground and an explore around the South Bank.

We popped into the National Theatre and went up on the roof garden. We visited an 'installation' called the Ark-ive, which was all about how we interact with animals in our lives.

We trundled on to the Tate Modern, where David and Claire wandered into the 'These Associations' by Tino Sehgal. It is described as an innovative work based on live encounters between people. A chap just started talking to them and told them an interesting story and other 'performers' were doing a bit of chanting and running around in a choreographed fashion. We went into 'The Tanks' which used to be oil tanks and there was a lot of weird and wonderful arty stuff going on there.

The streets were full of folks and also of Wenlocks and Mandevilles and loads of people were queuing to take photos of these Olympic mascots.

All tuckered out, we headed for home. Thanks to David and Claire and all the best for your adventures to come in the U.S.A.
