Too Blue & Still Here

Somehow two poems by Langston Hughes suit my mood for today.

Too Blue
, as sung by Leyla McCalla, the American classical and folk musician

Still Here

I been scared and battered.
My hopes the wind done scattered.
Snow has friz me,
Sun has baked me,

Looks like between 'em they done
Tried to make me

Stop laughin', stop lovin', stop livin'--
But I don't care!
I'm still here!

And this old teddy from my childhood, bruised and battered, is also still here!
