Totara Stumps . . . . .

. . . . . up the ridge from the Port Levy Saddle.

I thoroughly enjoyed an outing with the Nature Photographic Society today, up the ridge that goes east from the road saddle. I've never managed to see these totara stumps before, which isn't surprising as you can't see them from the road. Good company, stunning views, amazing stumps of huge old trees; a great day out. The wind got pretty darn cold though. We were all pulling out parkhas and hats towards the end.
