Lorton Valley

After days of gloomy weather, today was sparkling. A hard frost, blue skies and sunshine.  This is a view of the lovely Lorton Valley taken from the summit of Low Fell, and looking directly across to Whiteside (left) and Grasmoor (centre). Crummock Water is fed by Buttermere, the tiniest strip of which is just visible further up the valley. Great Gable is there too, for the eagle eyed.
