Suddenly still

This afternoon my daughter called me in tears, telling me her friend for life since schoolyears died from the cruel disease ALS/MND ~ that's just 5 months after she received that diagnosis.
We'd visited her and her family yesterday in hospital, where she'd been admitted the day before and we cannot believe yet,  it's our last visit to Cynthia.
