Avoid Confusion
I don't think that has been achieved here but she did manage to remove her shoes to enter the Higashi-Honganji Temple in Kyoto.
It was a amazing structure with enormous wood pillars. I can't believe they found so many tall straight trees, let alone transport them from the forests in the mountains.
We had a good flight over; each couple with a spare seat in the row of three. I was able to get very comfortable but we all are looking forward to a proper sleep tonight.
We caught a domestic flight from Tokyo to Osaka and then a 45 minute bus ride to Kyoto.
On the way we got this tremendous view of Mt Fuji (see extra).
Everything went very smoothly and the people are friendly and helpful.
We've had several hours to kill before checking in to the hotel so walked around town taking in two temples and having a couple of snacks.
It's 5C here and snow is forecast for tomorrow which would be lovely.
However it was also supposed to rain today and that hasn't happened (fortunately).
We have two nights here before heading to the ski resort at Hakuba where it as been snowing heavily for days :-)
