Day 1 Deauville/Trouville and fruits de mer

Today we drove into Deauville and its neighbour, Trouville, ready to begin exploring the local area. Deauville was very busy so we parked in Trouville and had a walk along the main street and then visited the beach. This photo was taken in Trouville at one of the many seafood sellers on the pavement. It looked delicious and was very colourful but also very expensive! Lots of people were tucking into platefuls of fish at the tables along the pavement. The whole atmosphere in both towns was lovely with many spectacular buildings.

We also spent part of the day at the pool, playing table tennis, reading and we went out for a meal. The weather was hot and sunny.
