Eilan Donan Afternoon
This is the view from outside the hall where we danced - not many villages are so lucky. While F and her friends were working away preparing for the evening, I sloped off to take a picture.
It was a fantastic day - hardly a cloud, just the odd patch of snow remaining on the hills. Very cold, hoar frost in the shadows. Some hardy souls were hauling their kayaks out of the water. Three disconsolate Spanish tourists asked me to help explain to their hire company the location of their broken-down car.
So by the time I got snapping the light was already going.
When we came back later to dance, the castle was floodlit, the stars were shining, the music was starting. Magic. Worth the sore feet.
