Special day today, D and the girls met. Despite the rains best attempts to put us off, we all headed to the park for an hour. The girls loved it and it meant so much to me for the man and my girls to meet. Lily was home too and we all had chippy tea together courtesy of Colin.....which was fab.
I can report that both parties are equally impressed with the other.
Today I was given THE most romantic gift. An engraved padlock for us to put on The Millennium Bridge when we are in London. I had never heard of this tradition...but it is *so* KATE.
I'm going to get the other side engraved this week...then we are all set to lock it on the bridge, throw the keys into The Thames so the padlock can
fulfil its raison d'être with the other Love Locks.
Then next year...we'll do the same :)
I would like this to be my engraving but I fear it is a tad wordy ;-)
A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we're pretending to be.
