Rain Water

Up and out and at them today!

Lily headed back to Leeds last night, so it was just me and the girls today.
We decided to make the most of the blue sky and headed to Uppermill for cupcakes, park and stepping stone fun.

The girls played in the river for a bit until the heavens opened. We sheltered from the torrential downpour under the trees for a bit then made a run for it to the nearest cafe.

We got the last seats and while we waited for our food Jeanne read her book to Eve. It was really nice to see and made me a proper #proudmum.

We hit a couple of charity shops. Jeanne got a snowglobe, I found a vintage vanity case and then we nipped into the bargain shop for some more plasticine for the dino animation that Eve is filming (with additional extras from J)

..and we found these water squirters! We headed back to the river and they happily squirted for ages. BLIP!

Eagle Eyed Eve spotted a wallet on the road outside a pub, full of cash but with an ID card in it so we handed it in...hope it got back to its rightful owner.

The girls headed to granny's and D and I hit Relish, for nice food and it was a wonderful end to a near perfect day spent in the best way...having big fun with the people I love.
