Shinkansen aka the Bullet Train

We took the Bullet Train from Kyoto to Nagoya this morning.
Unfortunately heavy snow meant it was a bit less of a bullet than usual so we missed our connection (only had 8 minutes anyway) to Nagano.
No worries as we able to get the following train one hour later.
Then we caught the bus on to Hakuba.

Our ski boots etc. which we had forwarded from Osaka Airport were waiting for us as well as our lift passes.
We have hired our skis and done some grocery shopping and are now enconsed in our apartment which is right next to the gondola.

There is heaps of snow. I got some reasonable shots from the train and bus windows but can probably come up with some better ones to blip over the next few days.
