Finding the Gaps

Lovely morning spent wandering the park, but with the constant cloud on the horizon of a monster conference call. At least it's from the comfort of my own home, I thought. Turns out it's a video call (mainly because the original platform fell over, so we moved onto something different). Cue having to remain on view for the next almost-5-hours, with just a ten minute comfort break in the middle.

The US contingent are currently on a lunch break, so there's a gap to grab something to eat, before getting back into it (probably for another 2-3 hours).

Still. Kingfisher. Good thing (got another, closer, shot, but I like the composition here).

Spending the few hours of the morning in the park also meant I got nicer photos than of late of moorhens and goosanders, blue tits and tufted ducks. You can just sit, and wait for things to come to you. You get things happening more naturally. You become part of the landscape that the beasts can almost ignore. Haven't done that in a while, and it was great to do so. Roll on the summer when I can get to the park for 7 in the morning, spend a couple of hours, and get back to the house in time to make breakfast.
