Jameos del Agua

I had to backblip yesterday's due to bad internet

Awoke nice and refreshed after an early night. Due to weather forecast we decided to tackle the caves in the north of the island. First stop Jameos del Agua, a lovely lagoon through the lava tunnel which emerges into this wonderful pool. No swimming allowed unfortunately. Then on to Cueva de los Verdes. Having already been down and up a lot of steps at our first stop I was impressed that mum managed this cave system. It was a long way down and back up. Interesting going through a lava cave.

To rest our legs we decided on a car tour of the rest of the north of the island, stopping at the harbour at Orzola, the wonderful view of Mirador del Rio and the hermitage at Nieves. Back then to the hotel and a quick swim in the outdoor pool. General temperature today 19 degrees. Is it really January?
