Birsay (Day 622)

It has been a day of fairly strong winds today, and I knew as I wandered up the hill with the dogs this morning that there was little point in venturing out on the bike today. There is no fun to be had pedalling against a 40mph headwind.
I spent the morning cleaning and tidying whilst my beautiful wife went to Stromness to ride horses.
After lunch we went to Birsay for a walk with the dogs. There were huge waves rolling in, their tops being torn off by the strong wind, and trailing plumes of rainbows in sea spray in their wake. It was great to stand and watch.
I took a couple of sneaky shots of HV as she sat taking shots of the waves, and I added one as an extra today.
