Today's the day .......................... to take tea

If you ever find yourself in the small town of Ulverston in South Cumbria, make sure you pay a visit to Gillam's Teashop.

It's the way a proper teashop should be - comfortable and warm with a real fire and classy décor - but more importantly, delicious home-cooked food.  It featured recently on one of the Hairy Bikers' Comfort Food programmes.  Dave Myers comes from this neck of the woods so it was just like going home for him.

And if you're lucky, your waitress might be Jess Gillam - just one of the multi-talented, musical Gillam family.  Today it was her younger sister Patsy, who did the honours for us .........................
