Grate....

The mother of one of my friends passed away recently & her service was this morning, so our friend Deb and I went to pay our respects. My friends' mom graduated from nursing school almost 75 years ago, and the family had her nursing cap and blue wool cape (that all students were required to wear back then)on display, as well as a note from the head of the nursing school threatening to expel her if they ever found her smoking again. My, how times have changed!  :))
After I got home, Tom and I went for a walk, in spite of the cold (28 F), and this grate caught my eye; I liked how the frozen snow added to the repeating pattern of the grate. Aside from this one, I was fairly uninspired--day 13 without any sun & it's getting a bit depressing!
