Llanelli Town Hall

A couple of months ago, I had to register the death of a very old friend in this grand building. Now I'm back here in Llanelli to clear his house and find good homes for all his belongings. It's a long job. As I passed this Grade II listed building today, with its lions, statues, pillars and ornate decoration, I felt a twinge of sadness that everything today seems to be so boring and utilitarian. The Victorians really knew how to make a statement!
