Return leg

Today I met a friend I've not seen for 12 months and her lovely partner. As with true friends you pick up where you left off. We had a laugh and got caught up.

We prefer the cheaper end of town, but we did venture up to the cocktail area for one but soon returned to where we were comfortable even if we did feel we had a short measure in one of the bars, baby guiness but nothing else, we left as soon as the baby had gone!

We ate in wetherspoons and as I am following a weight loss plan was pleased to see the menu all pointed out for me! needless to say after the 3 pints of beer already consumed there didn't seem much point in have a pointed lunch, however I did go for the healthier option of tandoori chicken pieces off the main menu, it was very nice, my friend had 3 pieces of cheese and her partner had a substantial amount of chicken strips.

My now 18 year old joined us briefly and we waved our friends off at the train station.

It was such a good day and I can't wait for the return leg. Xx
