A helping hand
We had a bit of a lie-in this morning, then met #2 daughter and family at Wallington. She was not appropriately dressed for the muddy play, having driven straight from a Christening event in town. So Granny got mucky again.
We spent hours playing on the train at Wallington. Interesting the difference between the boys' play and that of Ella and Nathaniel. Both ran about climbing and exploring at first, but Ella was mire into role play which her little brother went along with, whereas Thomas and James did more roaming around and shouting. I don't know if it is an age thing, a gender thing, or just different personalities, but it was all fun. James wanted me up on the roof but no sooner had I got clambered up than Thomas (training to be the Controller?) ordered me off the train.
Here Grandad is helping James up.
We are off out again to have supper with friends. I'm feeling a lot happier today after seeing the massive global movement critical of Trump, and of our PM's unseemly behaviour towards him and Erdogan. Maybe sense can prevail?
