Disturbed Night's Sleep....

   I was asleep, snuggled with my girls, oblivious to the world......
when I was awoke with a loud noise outside and the girls jumped on me barking.  I went to look...
    Outside my house, next to the road, in the dark, was a vehicle , 2 men were yelling.  I yelled, do they need help, but silence.  Then a man said "leg".
The heck with this...  I called 911 and reported the accident to the police.  The 2 men came to my door, asking me not to call the police.  They acted very disoriented, one fell to his knees, and then they returned to their truck.

   The next morning, I went out to see what happened...  The truck left the road at my neighbors house.  Just past his driveway was his mailbox.  You can see the small black spot in the grass, just before the road bends towards my driveway.  The car came straight to my driveway, elevated above the grass by about 18-20 inches.  The truck hit that, bounced up on my driveway, slid across and hit a pine tree on the rt front of the truck, bouncing to the left, coming to rest on my grass between large oaks and my mailbox.  It took a tow truck to get the truck out, leaving the sand marks.  I added an extra showing the marks on the pine tree that the truck left.
    The police came to my door after they arrived and assessed the situation.  I wasn't able to help them as I didn't see anything.  They did say that the 2 men were not hurt, but very intoxicated.

So much for my good nights sleep and getting up to take pictures!  I have a lot of debris, glass, plastic parts and junk on the front portion of my yard.
New plan....  bonsai tomorrow......
