A little bit of everything

Would be the best way to describe today's weather.
Technically we drove home from the ceilidh today - at 1am the roads were white and the snow had gone to warp speed - waking this morning it seemed to have stuck down to around 500m.

We lazed in watching the BBC News - or as we now call it, the "what's that orange buffoon done now" show. Words fail me, I've not agreed with a Pope, well ever, but if ever there was a time for the great unknown to give us a sign with a thunderbolt...

By mid morning the rain had stopped and shafts of glorious sunlight were piercing some impressive clouds, so we togged up to take pooch out. As we were heading out the phone rang - my wallet, lost two weeks ago, had been found by a farmer I know*. So a change of plan and a grateful thank you later saw us up on the scar, fortunately last week's sharp wind has all but gone. We had a lovely head clearing wander, didn't see a soul. Until...
We often see deer now, indeed we kinda know where to look. Which helps as these two were really well camouflaged until they moved - and it wasn't till later we saw that they were part of a much larger group grazing the fresh shoots sheltered in the scrub trees.

*proves my theory that the best way to find a lost thing is to replace it. But it's good to know it wasn't taken, and as ever there were a couple of daft cards in there that I'd forgotten about.
