What we saw when we looked over the bridge

Out on a walk this morning, keeping a lookout for a blip we looked over a bridge as we always do to be presented with today's blip; a major relaying of track at Bearsted station. No trains from here today, hopefully they'll be finished in time for the commuters tomorrow morning. There are certainly enough of them around.

A faily pleasant morning, some sun and mild. Called in at the allotment to collect some leeks and parsnips for tonight and this week. Spent an "enjoyable" afternoon clearing out the understairs cupboard of 16 years of hoarding. All my scrapbooks with photos and other memorabilia are stored under there. Only time for a brief glance but one aspect was quite sobering; there was a photo of my Dad with Matthew in 1984 which makes him younger than I am now!
