Stars of the garden

It's a very gloomy, damp day, but there are still a few stars in the garden to raise the spirits. Here are my two favourite shrubs for this time of the year - Witch hazel (Hamamelis sp.) and Sweet box (Sarcococca sp.) - both fragrant, even in weather like this.
