I've got some sorting to do

This is a selection of photos from Dad's flat.  Family photos, some of them quite old.  Fortunately, since dad became quite muddled and forgetful over his last years, he has at some stage labelled most of them - but they were just all thrown together in an envelope. 

I had an enjoyable few hours yesterday just browsing them, but need to get them organised, and possibly scan them in to the computer.  Dad was very much interested in geneaology, until his memory problems resulted in him being too confused to enjoy it any longer.  It is possible someone in the family may develop a similar interest in the future, at which point an organised collection of old photos could be a treasure.

There are boxes and boxes of slides still at the flat.  Some of them are dad's, some are my grandpa's.  They are probably mostly holiday snaps, and probably all labelled.  No doubt they were of considerable interest when presented by the original photographer when talking about the holiday.  I'll go through them over the next few months years, and offer them around the family, but sadly I suspect most of these will now end up in the rubbish.

At least temporarily, they will go into a storage facility, as we really do not have room for all dad's stuff here - we have enough rubbish treasures of our own!
