Day of the Trifid(s)

Went on holiday and there was no plant and came back to find this wild piece of flora and fauna growing like a plant possesed in one of my dearest's patio planters.

Thought it looked suspicious and decided to take a picture to monitor its rampant take over of the pot and am sure it winked at me when taking this. It even has hairs on its stem and if this turns into a beard then I am off.
