On Top Of The Tor

With the golf course closed today due to the heavy recent rain. Tess & I decided to get our exercise with our first ascent of Glastonbury Tor of the year.

Here she is chatting and admiring the view (such as it was through the clouds) with a chap we got talking to on the way up. He was over from the Isle of Wight for the day with his son who was having an interview and entrance assessment at Millfield School.

Parents had politely been requested to make themselves scarce so he'd decided to take a walk up the Tor; he'd been a pupil at Millfield himself many years ago but had never felt moved to walk up here in his youth so thought he'd take the opportunity now. A shame the weather wasn't more amenable for him.

Off to Yeovil's home game against Plymouth tonight; they're lying second in the league so, having faced top of the league Doncaster on Saturday, we'll have played 5 of the top 7 teams in the last month. No wonder wins have been few and far between. Hopefully, the fixtures we'll get a bit easier after this!
