The big "V"

This morning was a first. For decades I have passed Central Hall at Tolcross yet never been in.

This morning's meeting of the Justice Leaders' Network was held there. It is an impressive building and despite the size of the hall the sound system - and my hearing aids - coped well.

Lots of interesting discussions about a new Justice strategy on which there will be consultation in the coming months. And a discussion about how Brexit will impact on some of the justice processes and a presentation from the Cabinet Secretary for Justice.

With Neil Hunter from SCRA, I had a meeting afterwards with colleagues from WhoCares?Scotland. Only while waiting did I note the inflatable balloon on the ceiling. The building clearly caters for a wide range of tastes as overnight they had been looking after some of Edinburgh's homeless.
